Coretta's Class Trip to Leysin

On September 15th, Coretta will be traveling to Leysin which is approximately a three hour bus ride. They will be driving in one of those double decker busses and will be camping in the mountains with their teacher and friends for four days. Leysin is a mountain village in the south of Switzerland, about 30 minutes from Montrex. It is located in a beautiful mountain setting 1400 metres above Lake Geneva. The Leysin experience is designed to help children in developing their skills in communication, teamwork, and trying new things. The websites are as follows: www.villagecamps.com and www.leysin.ch.

For this trip, Coretta must pack the following: waterproof jacket and trousers, a warm sweater or fleece, shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, towel, small flashlight, backpack, slippers, tennis shoes, hiking boots, water bottle, sunscreen and lip balm, sun hat and warm hat, gloves, plastic bags for dirty clothes, a good reading book, and a cuddly toy.

Because Coretta will need memories from this great trip, we are going to purchase her a digital camera as an early birthday present. She is very excited about this trip. She even said that they will be climbing the mountains and she has to wear a special helmet. More to come later. Only thirteen days till she goes!!
